BRIQUE ROUGE - SPECIAL UPDATE (04/05/2004)

Pulsation.com is glad to feature 'BRIQUE ROUGE', an house label based in
Paris, France.
Label bosses David Duriez and Llorca record for a number of other French
labels including F Communications and Toulhouse, as well as 20:20 Vision
in the U.K. and Afterhours in the U.S.
In 1999, they found Brique Rouge and showed together that the future of
House is bright.
This imprint is one of France's finest. Purveying the best in House,
from the deepest jazziest flavours to pumping tech-house grooves, Brique
Rouge (means 'red brick') has created a truly multinational feel, with
the signing of artists from across the world.
Respected producers such as Mazi and Tony Senghore have been brought in
along side up and coming names such as Yann Fontaine and Tapani
Tolpanniemi.
Those 'big-name' producers have seen their profiles raised by Brique
Rouge, while for newer artists, the label has brought them valuable
exposure. With each release, Brique Rouge has given a different slant to
the whole 'deep house' sound, giving a unique vibe to each release.
So, Pulsation is proud to present 5 mixes recorded in 2003 by few
artists signed on this label.

Founder of Brique Rouge and "MDLM - Les Maçons de La Musique" in 1999 in
association with Llorca (F communications), David Duriez is an alien in
the world of French dj's and producers. He is not really from Paris and
he does not really make 'French sounding' music. He has developed his
own sound, versatile and ahead of the times. It can be deep, slamming,
banging or techno influenced; it doesn't make a difference. He has been
releasing music around the world for the past 10 years with an extensive
disco & remixography on prestigious label such as 20:20 Vision, Gourmet,
Afterhours, F-Comm, ... He’s done remixes for well known artists & bands
like Dax Riders, Jori Hulkkonen, etc.

continously presents his own style of house music to audience. His dirty

The Parisian party 'TERRASSA' takes place each summer at Peniche
Concorde-Atlantique, a houseboat with 2 dance floors and a open-air
terrace, stationary in the heart of Paris. This mix is a magic moment
recorded in June 2003. The famous french dj Laurent Garnier (who was not
announced on the djs line-up), takes control of the decks with his
friend Llorca, co-founder of Brique Rouge.

You might know Phil Weeks by being the infamous french producer behind
some releases on Brique Rouge and the founder of the labels Robsoul
Recordings & Stay True (with David Duriez). Since the first release,
Robsoul's reputation has steadily increased within the world of house
music. Robsoul releases all prsent the deeper and hypnotic edge of the
'tech-house' genre. Phil Weeks's productions are well known all over
many continents, and played by many world class DJs.

10 Turntables Nightmare in Amsterdam features 10 turntables, 5 mixers
and the combined mixing talents of David Duriez, Phil Weeks, F
Communications's Llorca, Alexkid and Tuomas Salmela. On stage the five
men are in line just like five quiz competitors. But the answer button
on the desk has been substituted by two turntables, a mixer and a stack
of records.

some anthems. You could listen too new rousing mixes by the french dj
Cisco and a mix of the famous dj from Los Angeles, Eric Davenport. To
finish, let's me introduce to you the brand new album from Fabrice Lig
on Kanzleramt : "My 4 Stars" available in April. To celebrate this new
release, you find a new mix by the master of soulful Techno. Keep an eye
out for it!

can be no doubt that the belgian Fabrice Lig is a world class Producer,
live act & DJ! Fabrice Lig's numerous dancefloor-oriented & Detroit
influenced has been released on lots of labels. In particular, his remix
for e-dancer aka Kevin Saunderson makes him, in the words of Mad Mike "a
part of Detroit music's history".

With a resume that includes being a prime developer in Orlando's
acceptance of house music, host of an internationally recognized radio
program, and floor-filling gigs on both sides of the Atlantic, it's
clear that Manny Cuevas is a house pioneer whose profile is on rise. At
the dawn of the 21st century, Manny blew listeners away with his pumping
deep house sets on Orlando's Party Station 95.3 FM WPYO. He also
continues his musical mission of enrolling people in the school of body
jacking with his "Infamous Paradise Box Parties".
