Great stuff.
But on the question of media, everyone forgets about those 'markets' beyond
the UK, Europe and the US, so to compare just Europe and the US is missing
out Asia, Australasia, etc, etc.
We had more relative media here in Australia for Movement - and DEMF - than
anywhere bar Detroit. More Movement media here than Sonar, who I see are now
finally taking an interest in this market. That's why this year there will
be more Australians per capita at the fest than probably any other country.
Industry people here skipped Miami's WMC and are going to Detroit.
I did wonder why last year there was nothing in Jockey Slut or Straight No
Chaser or Wire (unless I missed it?). Good journalists seek out a story, and
don't just wait for the press release, I agree with Derrick on that.
Maybe we have a different mentality on that as we're so far away and used to
chasing that stuff.
