Had the pleasure of seeing and hearing this legendary icon who one of my
friend's was quoted saying "Is he a best kept secret or something?"...
As far as DJs go, this has got to be the only guy I can think of that can
incorporate Jungle, Reggae, Breaks, House, Techno, Industrial...into one set
with programmed flawless ease. Dammit the guy played prodigy "Out of Space"
and house classic "Jack Your Body". His flow is so on point that even when
employing all these different styles of music...I never once felt a
discontinuity. I was with him for his whole 5 hour journey and I was
thoroughly blown away!
I think Carl Cox has a style a lot like Garnier and is an excellent mixer!
But I don't think he has the same range.
Spoke to him after his set which he obviously had a great time playing and
he said:
"This is the best set I have ever played in Canada"
Thanks Laurent....I will remember this set for a VERY LONG time!
