Check his label "Light and Dark" for some really deep stuff, also an early doublepack on Blueprint (09??) was excellent. Some pretty dense techno there, but with infinite more substance than a lopped banger. Take a look at his label Chango for some slower, funked out stuff.
I have the new album too, are you speaking about track 4?? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 19 May 2004 8:21 To: [email protected] Subject: (313) Oliver Ho/radio playlist - 15/5/04 hello Just received the new Oliver Ho album in the post, it's called 'The Soft Machine' and is coming out on Meta. Listening to it right now in fact and have to say that I'm rather enjoying it. There's a track that samples Steve Reich (always the way to win favour with me) + lots of 313 style synthy business. Hadn't actually consciously heard any of his stuff before. Had lumped him together with the looped bangers people but there seems to be more to it than that. Anyone have any further Oliver Ho recommendations? here's last Friday's playlist CHILLED OUT PASSION - Friday nights 1-4am GMT on PASSION 107.9FM, OXFORD Live Webcast http://www.passion1079.com 15/5/04 1-4am De La Soul Me Myself and I (Instrumental) Tommy Boy Blotnick Brothers Elapse Current Loop Satamile Ultra-Red A17 FatCat Insync Vs Mysteron Exit 9 Peacefrog Emmanuel Top Generation Novamute Moodyman Untitled (Laid Back Luke Remix) After Midnight EMS Getgetto Satamile Nu Era A Third Of The 3rd Twisted Funk Lucien-n-Luciano Alain Brite (Remix For Amael) Peacefrog Phil Parnell Do Your Living In The Night (Herbert's Dark Mix) Mantis Orbital Chime/Impact (Live at V96) Internal MIX BY TOP ROCKING END OF MIX Bobby Byrd Hot Pants (I'm Coming, I'm Coming, I'm Coming) Urban The 45 King The 900 Number Dance Trax Marva Whitney Unwind Yourself King Sixtoo Old Days Architecture Ninja Tune Mike Ladd Housewives At Play K7 Boards Of Canada Orange Romeda Warp Aphex Twin Ageispolis R&S Herbie Hancock Steppin' In It Columbia Wagon Christ I'm Singing Ninja Tune Kenny Larkin Mono E Mono Peacefrog Glenn Branca Lesson No. 1 For Electric Guitar Acute *************************************************************************************** Opinions expressed in this email are those of the individual and not Entergy-Koch Trading Limited or its affiliated companies.
