Ive been contemplating having a stab at doing a studio mix for a while - I was wondering if anyone with any experience of doing these could give any tips [on or off list depending on how your feeling!] .. I have Cubase SX, Ableton and Cooledit at my disposal - Ive heard Ableton is good for this kind of thing (think brendan did a mix which was posted on the list a long way back) but Ive not really used it much yet - is this the best tool for the job ?
Also just any info on how people go about it would be really appreciated - ie pitching up tunes first then sampling or doing it all on the pc side etc ? muchos thanks ! peace, marc
