Alex Mine are covered under my contents insurance. Just so I'm sure about this I send a letter to whoever my insurer is at the time specifying the contents of my flat including £30K of records. The insurers usually say they're only interested in large individual value items being specified but I guess it makes me feel there's less room for argument after if I've put it in writing to them what they are supposed to be insuring.
