Hey

I'm just popping into work (which is the only place I have PC access) in the
middle of a week off to check my mail and am most unsettled by this thread.
I have quite a few of the records people are willing to pay a few bucks for
and it's starting a whole "how can I really put so much value in material
things?" debate in my head. Sure my house was expensive but it keeps the
rain off my head. Records? Don't think I'd part with something like "Deep
Space" which I love (and it looks like it's not the album which was the
subject of debate but a 7" anyway) but "Secret Life Of Machines", "Sonic
Sunset", "Bytes", "Azimuth" etc? when was the last time I played these?
Before reading all the mails if you'd asked me briefly if I wanted to sell
them I'd have said "no" but now having had to really turn it over in my mind
how can I justify having these records sitting on a shelf and getting
listened to once in a blue moon? I could record them to listen to before
selling anyway. And go on a damn fine exotic trip with the cash.

Francis

PS. OK if "Inhabit The Machines" is valuable (as always with me it's a
total shock to find this is the case, how many other records do I have the
value of which I'm completely oblivious to?) I want to sell it. Do I gather
E-Bay is the best place to obtain ridiculous prices for your records?

PPS. I think "Good Girls" (sorry, this was such a big debate can't remember
who was after what and I ain't gonna re-read the mails) is about to be
reissued, not as a straight repress but half the original 12 came back out a
year or two ago and I heard the other half (inc. GG) is coming soon.
