gold plated maybe - if it was all gold then it would weigh a ton (compared
to vinyl) - so much so that it would probably slow down the motor of even a
direct drive turntable
plus gold is a soft metal and under heat it tends to bend- imagine the
grooves would not hold up very well under the friction of a stylus. You'd
probably get one play out of it if it was 100% gold.
by the picture it looks like a metal master actually
anyway - it's got all five tracks on one side which is going to reduce the
fidelity (even if you did play it)
I'm not impressed - it's a show piece
