equally OT ... we watched this at work - did you see the broadcast? gosh, a powerful and sad speech, indeed. he's been a decent Governor ... not perfect, but he's done a lot of good. I am curious to see who comes out to support or attack him, and hope the next person in won't be like Whitmann (shudders). someone at work had a nice point, saying "I don't care if he's gay or not, I just want my car insurance to be cheaper." LOL
I can't help but feel tumult at times like this ... when the rules of 'official' conduct in the US seem to care more about what people do "in their bedrooms," between a few consenting adults, than about criminal and treasonous government behaviour going down in countries, including our own ... negatively affecting millions of individuals. :\ lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: diana potts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thursday, August 12, 2004 5:14 pm Subject: (313) East coast political politics > > > sorry for the ***extreme**** off topic but anyone in > the nyc/nj/philly area: > > > http://msnbc.msn.com/ID/5686618/ > > > (for those not wanting to read it-an american, married > governor just resigned office while announcing he's > gay) > > > > > > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > New and Improved Yahoo!
