patrick never plays out which is a shame. i definately classify him
in the
ranking of plaslaiko, souffront, geiger and the other detroit kids.
i forgot to add (Dr.) Jason Attaman to this list.. old WCBN DJ, had
Claude and Carl Craig and others on his show over the years. Jason
doesn't play out much anymore but very much in the Carlos / Shake style
of many styles, one mix.. all funky, diverse, roots stuff... from acid
tracks to fleetwood mac to larry levan garage stuff to fade II black,
etc. etc.... brilliant. One of the best record collections i've ever
tried to steal from. ;)
