I have been shopping at Sonic Groove since 1995 when they moved their store from Brooklyn to Manhattan on Carmine Street(I never made it to the Brooklyn store). The first record I bought there was Robert Hood "Internal Empire" 2xEP. They were always my main source for records. They use to get everything. Their techno stock was unmatched. I shopped there religiously every three weeks, making my trip to the City. The staff was fantastic, always taking care of me, from Carlos, Reade, Jon, Brennan, Adam, Heather, Frankie, Marcos, and Dan. They became my friends. It is a great loss for electronic dance music that their store has closed. I will miss it greatly.
