i moved. i left the country after having to go through a military
checkpoint just to get back home from playing a party in brooklyn. but then
i'm a coward. when life in the US wasn't as much fun for me, i just moved
to another country and went surfing.
but i salute all those people who said 'america sucks and i'm going to
change it' - there's a long list of them, starting with ben franklin and
running all the way to rosa parks and martin luther king. they didn't move
country because it sucked - they stayed and made it better.
to bring it back to detroit. i salute those detroiters who didn't move out
of detroit because it sucked and they didn't like the place, but stayed,
created their own sound and changed the city and popular music.
