I just didn't want to wind you lot up by saying "yeah he was OK - good but
nothing really special"!

One thing that strikes me reading Tristan's report from London is that it
sounds like he played pretty much the same set, can't be too critical of
this as obviously you can only take so many records with you when you cross
the Atlantic, however if someone's going to play something like "The Wall"
(which didn't do it for me personally) you like to feel there's a bit of
spontaneity there - as with

sh*t, here's some Detroit sh*t!" (London)

in Manchester it was "somebody asked me for some Detroit sh*t" followed by
the White Stripes

but don't get me wrong, I'm not down on the gig, it was fun and people were
having a good time.
