You could move out here to East Buttfu... erm, Sunland - it's a different
kind of melancholy (the "Gee, we're inside the LA city limits but miles
from any signs of civilization" variety) but it's still melancholy :-)

i'm much more emotionally troubled by the absence of time in perpetually
warm places like LA.

Of course, the irony of this statement is that during the night before
Josh sent this to the list, the LA news channels were proclaiming
"RECORD COLD!!" in several places, where it actually went below the
freezing point. (The temperature up in Lancaster, in the High Desert -
about an hour's drive from downtown LA - got down to almost 15 F / -10 C
on Wednesday night) On Tuesday and Wednesday nights my car thermometer
registered under 40 F / 5 C when I got into it to go home. We have
seasons here - they're just a little more subtle ;-)

OK ... enough weather ... Ob313inda323:

John Tejada at Create:Fixate in downtown LA on Dec. 4th ...
John Tejada also at Boardners in Hollywood (Cherokee Ave.) on Dec. 10th ... Matthew Dear (with Swayzak) at Avalon/The Palace (Vine St.) on Dec. 11th ... Kenny Larkin at some tiny joint in Glendale (150 capacity) on Dec. 18th ...
