I've been organizing my collection latelly and got quite nostalgic
after listening to:

Florence: Occurences
BDP: Bytes
Reload: A Collection Of Short Stories
Stasis: Point Of No Return

Hmpf! Last time i checked Florence lived in Holland :) I would like
to add both B12's Soma Electra and Time Tourist albuma. Autechre's
Incunabula is also in there, same goes for the Polygon Window album,
Selected Ambient Works Vol. I. Then there is The Philosophy Of Sound
And Machine on ART. Most of Beaumont Hannant's stuff is great too,
then there are Luke Slater's 7th Plain albums... oh the list is
endless!

IMHO, the B12 LPs are more floor oriented, less "intelligent" (yes,
agree it sounds dull), or less challenging.
SAW1 and ART CD1 are great, maybe they could be in the above list, but
none of the 7th Plains and the Beaumont stuff come close.

*Sputter* Excuse me?!?

While comparing anything to "A Collection Of Short Stories" is
impossible (it still alternates with "Unknown Pleasures" as my
Best. Album. Ever.), I'm with KJ - "My Yellow Rise Rug" and
"Texturology" are both deep, "intelligent", wonderfully well-crafted
albums that most certainly do rate, IMHO. (I like both of those
more than I like "Bytes", but I've never been that big a Black Dog -
or Plaid - enthusiast.)

Anyway, this has f*ck-all to do with (313), so I'll shut up now :)

Ob313: Matthew Dear with Swayzak (Tomorrow night, 12/11, Avaland),
Osunlade (Friday 12/17, Temple Bar) and Kenny Larkin (Saturday,
somewhere in Glendale) back-to-back next week here in the (323)
