Part 1 > Quick holiday psychedelic soul then an ode to all things
Friday Night. Live funk percussion mixes as Faze-O hits soaring
spacefunk and Jackson 5ive's drummy breaks pick up tempo. Arpeggiated
boogie from Coco Du Jour and Johnson Products' simple-yet-irrestible
grooves push it along to a poppin' italo cover of Tequila. Ends
tag-team w/ moody chicago house classics including Mike Dunn's anthem
'Magic Feet'.
Part 2 > the tagteam fun continues with windy city acid from
armando/armani, then stays close to the heart of chicago with early
efforts from symbols & instruments, joshua, and ron trent, and a
hard-edged mr. fingers. some cool uk obscurities follow, and deep dub
techno from germany's basic channel collective rounds out the set, with
new music from the echocord label in the mix.
