Too early for anything else, but Albert Hammond's "It never rains
in Southern California" is the only apropos thing I can think of
right now:

(It's Monsoon season over here. There's actual video on the local
 ABC affiliate's Web site that shows a guy on my street - albeit a
 few blocks over - getting around in a *boat* last Friday. There's
 a bridge over the local usually-dry wash that I take walks to;
 it's normally about 20 feet above the dry wash bed. Last Friday
 they reported the water level in the wash had risen to lap up
 over the pavement on the bridge! We're headed to break the record
 for wettest season (July 1st-June 30th) on record here in LA since
 they started keeping weather records over 120 years ago. I feel
 like I moved to Seattle or something ... or Manchester? ;-) )
