whoooooeeeeee! Just heard the new Hal Varian (yeh late...so). Dang man,
enduro is the workout. Synths for days. The other two tracks I really like
cause they're more atmospheric and heady without being particularly psychedelic
(I love psychedelic though mind). Enduro though is a nice balance of the same
heavier atmospherics with tight drums, bouncy round kick, and a synth workout
aimed at the booty. I likee. (and I swiped the term "synth workout" from JT,
perfect description of the sound)

Shed citylicker is hot. I'm starting to like his style more and more. At first
I wasn't too into his stuff cause the kicks always seem to get lost in the mix,
but now after messing around with the delsin one in the mix with a lot of
different stuff, I realize as the tracks progress the overall play of sounds
gets so frenetic, you can't stop moving. Still have to say it ends up getting
dropped with more housey, shuffley sounds than with techno for just that
reason. Heat.

For the maurice fulton heads, you gotta check his remix of allessandroni paul
and honesty's track welcome on crippled dick hot wax. Just a straight up
disco/funk session. Nothing like the mu stuff. Dude took the original and
entirely reconstructed the track with (I'm assuming) his band. Eveything sounds
live. It's reeeealy good. There are some other rmxs on there but man...maurice.

I was never that into "stars" I thought it was kinda bandwagon-ey for Carl when
it came out. like C2 doing...I dunno, someone else though, didn't sound very C2
and still doesn't. But.... Fire, the deep dish rmx is bananas. Super deep with
balls. Don't got yet. Gotta get it.

Now about stars I do like, the luv city remix of the stars track on shelter is
pretty nice. Hi hats doing their thing and heavy thudding kicks with gorgeous
atmospherics. Some pianos though. But I like it a lot... I think, this one I've
only heard the clips of. Pretty sure I do though.

**the following has nothing to do with anything**

And congrats to meeee! I just bought a new mixer. Caught the Vestax pcv-180 on
a great deal (they've been discontinued). It's fxckin awesome. The electronics
are top notch. The eq isolators ( w/infinity kills ) are as good as ranes to my
ears. And the overall sound quality is through the roof! Thanks for the tip
afew months back marsel. I won't lie, the reason I really wanted this one is
cause it looks like a star trek control board. So now I can make a mix without
fear of one channel dropping out! WOOT!
If you can find one, cop one. They're maaaad cheap right now 'cause of them
being discontinued.

Over and out.
