Actually, I've thought of more tips for Francis.

While those nu groove comps wouldn't be a bad place to start, if I remember
rightly, they're aren't cheap these days (£20?). Alot of the ep's are
available for relatively cheap, and it may be worth taking a gamble on a
few I'd say?

Francis, Russ and Duncan (who got a load of it off Russ) are the men to
speak to really. Russ knows pretty much everything there is to know about
old house music. and duncan just has a shed load of it at home. (come up
one night, I can show you the delights of the red lion and we cna ransack
duncs records)

Also, Vinyl get loads of Nu Groove, and you can pick bits up too, for say a
fiver or so. Might be worth having a trawl about and listening to a few on
a sunday or something. or check the site while at work
www.vinylexchange.co.uk

also, the friendly peeps at Vox Pop had some Chi/NYC bits lately, infact I
think I got something on NuGroove from them a week or two ago?

Failing that, surfing the information superhighway (thats the internet, not
teletext) could bring some positive results. You often find little shps
hidden away in daft towns like loughborough or something that have the
entire back catalogue at £4 a throw.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting on more Burrell tips to find the ones I'm missing
that are good.
