Ghostly International's DABRYE (featuring Kadence) and Thrill Jockey's RADIAN will be performing on March 21st at Detroit¹s 555 Gallery. The show will mark Dabrye¹s first local live performance since last summer and promises to be an excellent glimpse into his forthcoming Two/Three full-length.
Dabrye, an alias of Tadd Mullinix, combines head-nodding beats and electro bass lines that explore hip-hop forms with a keen eye to forward-thinking production and rhythms. Kadence is one of Ann Arbor¹s finest MCs, making a name for himself with a highly stylized flow and demeanor that serves as a perfect complement to Mullinix¹s deconstructionist rhythms. Radian is becoming a major musical force as part of the Thrill Jockey roster, creating a unique sound based on lacey melodies and deep, jazz-influenced grooves culled from a combination of live and electronic instruments. The Vienna-based trio has released two albums to date, which have gained them praise from publications such as The New York Times, Magnet, Wire, and more.
