So forget Strafe's 'Set It Off' and Aleem's, 'Release Yourself' with
their scratchy recordings (the Strafe track has barely any bass). Which
more or less use the same 808 and /or 909 patterns throughout? What's
wrong with sounding like Trax Records? I don't believe Juan Atkins ever
pretended he wasn't influenced by the Chicago sound at that time. He
just dissociated himself from outright acid. But this is too easy...Plus
there's no spew to answer back!
