I and quite a few other people enjoyed Flashpoint but attendance took a
hit due to a large chunk of the London contingent being away at The Last
Party On Earth, (or was it just the last Tresor party before the
Wertheimer's got their vault back?! ;-). Also, there was Pheek and Dan's
Iality dub/disco/funk night.

Alex played perhaps the most unique set I've heard at Flashpoint with
many beautiful and beautifully chosen grooves, beautifully rendered (via
Alex's much-loved Ableton) into a mid-tempo housey, set. Really sweetly
done. One of those sets that make you want more.

Ross 154 was similarly eclectic and somewhat more slamming. Lots of
stuff I didn't recognize but he really seemed to switch the mood up a
gear so that even though the place was only half full (and it had to
almost close an hour early) it really didn't seem to be a problem at
that point. Was that a Green Velvet track at the end? An approachable
chap too, I discovered afterwards.

Well done all round Flushpoint folks. I hope you haven't flushed your
final flush.

Only caught the last hour and a half of Dan's set at the other end of
the world (Stoke Newington) but what an amazing atmosphere! Very wide
ranging dub, funk, soul disco and house from the entire crew. But I was
in my element at the end when I jammed in the ear plugs and stood by the
speaker for the final bass excesses!

At some point I hope to find out about the minutiae of Mr Bean's
wonderful set.

Run was nearby, with Pheek live: I stayed for about 10 mins, although
the music might have been enjoyable if it hadn't seemed so disorganised
in there.
