After a period of silence another legendary dutch techno label is
back. This year, Eevo Lute will be releasing a unique series of four
related records by four separate artists. The records’ conceptual
relationships are emphasised by an original design concept: inspired
by the musical content, UK designer Red James (http://www.redjam.com)
created four sleeves which can be joined together to create a larger
image. First release in the series is ‘City Sounds’ by Terrace,
otherwise known as label founder Stefan Robbers (http://
technotourist.org/modules.php?
op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=49).
Inspired by a recent renewed visit to Detroit and his long-standing
heroes Kraftwerk, the new ep sees Terrace successfully bring Detroit
techno up to date and spicing it up with ItaloDisco flavour. The five
tracks develop and expand without losing any of their dance floor
impact. Later this year, further contributions to the series will
follow by Ballet Mechanique, Blackout International and the Moderator.

During the coming period, Terrace will be available for live
performances. His new live set consists of tracks from current
release City Sounds, as well as various classics released under
various pseudonyms (Florence, Stefan Robbers) and improvisations
based on existing material.
