I'd say they were definitley linked. all the producers came out of the hardcore scene, or the rave scene whatever you want to call it. thats why i think the majority of them are a bunch of jokers. theres literally one or two producers with fresh ideas (bug in the bassbin at 45), then the rest just follow on and copy the current sound. a large percentage, of these so-called "innovators" of this jungle/d&b sound which is somehow lauded as some sort of groundbreaking tackle, were hardcore or happy hardcore producers. now alot of jungle producers do garage, r&b whatever the next big thing is. peshay for example, biggest cheesiest happy hardcore dj. then suddenly, he copies a jungle sound, it gets put on metalheadz, and hey presto, he's a hip musical innovator. except I can see through the b*llsh*t charade. _________________________________________________________________ --------------------- End of message text -------------------- This e-mail is sent by the above named in their individual, non-business capacity and is not on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
