a quick review of some promos I was sent recently by our friendly track pushers
at citymorb music, rome italy.

(samples of ctm000 (dieb - unit injector drive) available on citymorb's website
at www.citymorb.net

my friend (who incidently has releases on mille plateaux and force inc) said it
best: "this stuff sounds like where force inc left off"

ctm000 - dieb - unit injector drive:
great album. very atmospheric, nice production, really good futuristic techno.
nothing too cliche about it, but its also not pretentious sounding. just
listen and you'll buy it. all 3 tracks are great IMO

ctm001 - receptor - moving head:
another great one. not quite out yet, but soon. with this one, citymorb is
establishing its "sound" track 1 is more straightforward techno, while tracks
2 and 3 are a little more experimental, but not to the point of making them
tough to use in a mix. to me, they take a little more "active listening" than
some other electronic tracks, which is a good thing imo.

as far as the pressings, I was quite impressed with both the thickness and the
quality of the pressing. everything sounds and feels wonderful. much better
than the last few NSC promos I've received, thats for sure.

watch out for citymorb, you'll be giving them a lot of your money before long,
and you'll be happy to do it.

magda did a nice review of the dieb record, maybe fab can point it out for
everyone, if its on the web yet.

i'll try and feature some of these tracks in an upcoming fuxmix.

thx for listening!
