Part 1 > Italo disco and leftfield weirdness from the early/mid 80's,
when Chicago hotmix DJs threw in amped-up electronic eurodance with
latin freestyle and crude house beats -- to rock the city from Rogers
Park to Stoney Island. Mixed w/ more recent cuts from NYC's Abe Duque
and Toronto's Dubious, closes with WBMX destroyer from Pineapples.
Part 2 > trying to treat the summer heat with a musical iced beverage,
we get drenched in atmospheric downtempo and dub-house before we reach
cool-down sounds from russ gabriel, new flowing techno from chicago's
zachary lubin, mike huckaby remixing on a deeper plane, and convextion
setting off the fireworks.
