That is harsh as he doesn't live like that at all. He's v frugal in some ways. That image is just a UK media creation. He plays abstract music when the setting is right. I think people in general make these bold statements about money without realising where the money goes - you assume people don't give money to families, or are not putting some aside for security (it's not like the US has a decent social security or free health care) in an industry where superannuation is non existent. They say the same things with Jeff Mills... These people still don't command the $ of the really big UK players of the 90s...
