i havent been following this thread very closely but here are the ones
i can think of, most arent necessarily detroit records...
bugs in the bassbin (which has probably been mentioned already)
soul center 1 - thomas brinkmann, soul & swing
keep it unreal - mr scruff, lots of weird jazz/swing references
Doot Doot 12" - can someone trainspot this? I think it was a record put
out by hardfloor before they were hardfloor. the whole track is
structured around the copious use of a swing sample.
i want to say some moodyman too, but id have to listen back over some
