J is from North Carolina but since most the label
artists come from Dallas/Fort Worth, guess RH sort of
assumed he was too...since we did a dL warehouse party
a few years ago with Rush Hour in Dallas. Oddly enough
though, Dallas has been a house town for years and
many djs cut there teeth on Chicago house records as
well as music from Detroit and New York as early as
1980! (JT Donaldson, Tim Shumaker, Demarkus Lewis,
Brett Johnson and even Josh Kay of Phoenicia/Schematic
are just a few from dallas)... one store in particular
(Bill's Records & Tapes) which I live a quarter mile
from was where most of us bought our records from and
it's still the best store I have ever been to. Tens of
thousands of rare gems/forgotten classics still for
the taking too! yah Kennedy was shot here but there
are a few of us who've been into good music for many
years.
