The stories about the Storm parties are deservedly legendary.
I have friends who really were there. Frankie is one of a kind.
=========================
Legendary. And inspirational.
Stormrave.
Groove Records.
Frankie Bones is about a lot more than making tracks:
his love of and passion for the music turned on tons of
kids to electronic dance music via the parties he co-ordinated,
and his phenomenal record store was *the* outlet for techno
on the East Coast in the early 90s. Frankie's shop also spawned
Heather's 'Under One Sky' mag, the only credible English-language
techno zine of its day.
Frankie may've put his foot in his mouth in that discogs thread,
but his heart is ~always~ in the right place.
You wanna slag some NYC techno-wanna-be's, go pound on
Michael Alig and Keoki, but leave off Frankie Bones: the man's
earned his dues, and then some. What you don't even know about
is at least as deep as the truth of what you've heard about/know about.
Give him his proper respect or just stfu.
And then some:

"My brother used to write and he was my first inspiration. I prefer not to mention his tag due to
self incrimination. (Got to watch out for Vandal Squad on line) He was king of insides on the
letterline flats, ridgies and bulldogs with partners NET and ANT in the years of 83-84. They
destroyed layups all city including IRTs but the Coney Island Yard was there main home. Seeing his
name up inspired me to write."
