I've just been reminded via the mp3 selection on my new phone that Matt O'Brien's 'Hidden High' http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/190788-01.htm&highlight=Matt%20O%27brien is an excellent example of Hood-style minimalism. Unfortunately it's out of stock @ Juno, but his new one is in, which is most certainly worth a check, although perhaps not so minimal. But anyway, I'd struggle to find a better recommendation from the Hood/Sleeparchive/Plastikman type 'o style in the last year or so than this. It's a brilliant track.
