I always thought of him as a 6 degree man - he was familiar with
everybody and respected everybody in the D, from Moodymann to
Godfather to Mills. He wanted to work with his father, a Motown
producer, who'd worked with Marvin. That last album he did was in
parts so profound. He was here just a few weeks ago judging an MC
battle - v lowkey. A friend of mine once found himself walking behind
Eminem - in bad disguise - and Proof walking down Chapel St (v
fashionable st in Melbourne) freestyling to themselves... He could
have left but he loved Detroit. I am really deeply sorry.

agreed-it's depressing to hear of yet another mc to be killed...

I'm deeply sad to hear about Proof - one of the most gifted and
underrated MCs in hip-hop and a really down to earth guy. Always
gave it up to others. So musically engaged... Will be missed.
