a few random points... 1. I love the detroitluv thread on the line up, I love that site cause gets so nasty and empty at the same time, if you missed it check it out. 2. Ah the line up is sort of horrible and sort of great, but I bought my tickets already, and in some respects I am never really blown away at the festival, but give me great choices in afterparties and I kinda think that is where the serious music happens. I actually like 59% of minimal and am saddened that they neglected Luciano and or new artists from Central and South America. I am also happy about the ambient additions, I would like to see more dub at the festival, Studio 1/soul jazz records stage would be just fine by me. Why not Ladytron or Miss kitten, in another direction instead of rave? 4. I am basically hoping to not hear Jaguar again this year. Cause 2 years ago I heard it 7-10 times, last year I only heard it 3-5 times, this year I would be ok to only hear it once perferrably at the UR party, that should seriously happen. :) 5. Overall, though I think they are trying to succeed with the festival. They know the techno geeks in the US are a dying breed. When I go out I really enjoy being around other people that like to dance, so I am really hoping that that is going to be happening there. 6. The festival was best when it was free! I miss the families and locals that maybe only care a little about the music but that make the party a detroit party. Tom
