Yeah i agree with Jason here, i was a huge fan of Mark Broom when he was playing with The Black dog back in ye ol' days. Last time i heard him i was really disappointed in to hear mainly looptechno but his mixing skills were still really good. His musical wasn't really mine the last time... matter of taste guess.

I played with him back in 1992- he used to DJ with Black Dog and did some great music on Ifach, A13 and more- at the time he played a great mix of Detroit Techno (1st person I ever heard playing Kaos) and UK Detroit-inspired stuff (B-12. Likemind, Luke Slater etc). I have to be totally honest and say a lot of his stuff over the last 6 or so so years has left me frozen solid rather that cold- he's worked with some people I have No respect for (Percy X??????????) too and when I've heard him play it was REALLY dull loopy techno- maybe I'm just getting old though :) Undoubtably, he's a solid guy though, and he's still making a living through music- good for him!

cheers

PS Going to Dresden in Germany this weekend- anybody played there/ been there before?

Looks like we're going to be getting a few artists in town off the back of
DEMF, Mark Broom being one of them.
So, how is he? I love his records but, as we're all aware, that doesn't
always translate to being a good DJ.
Should I expect loops or something a little more?
