Friday May 19 BEYOND PRESENTS THE BUNKER
DANIEL BELL (Accelerate, 7th City, Logistic | Detroit/Berlin) *extended DJ set* Daniel Bell is one of the most important figures in the history of minimal techno. He started out by collaborating with Richie Hawtin as Cybersonik in the early '90s, releasing "Technarchy" and other classic tracks. Then he produced several records on his own as DBX (including the enourmously successful "Losing Control") that more or less defined minimal techno in the early to mid '90s. He then went on to create 7th City Distribution and several new record labels. In 2000, he moved to Berlin, and has released two amazing mix CD's and a few remixes since then. He is currently working on new material and a live set and DJing around the world. His past appearance at the Bunker have been phenomenal, and we're very psyched to have him back. http://daniel-bell.com/ plus resident DJs: Spinoza, Movement, Unjust visual residents: Giles Hendrix, Chris Jordan sound: mm bar: Heather, Aaron door: Olga photos: SDPhotography.net the Bunker Fridays at subTonic 107 Norfolk Street (212)358-7501 www.klever.org/thebunkernyc $5, 21+, 10p-4a ....
