The last I heard about his health was about 6 months back. Banks said he was still poorly and the primary reason he was ill was from stress over money issues because a lot of the newer producers were opting to get their music mastered overseas. It's a shame, because he is a total legend. New producers are always looking for that 'new edge' so much that sometimes they forget about the history and overlook the opportunity to work with someone who has helped shape the sound that they love so much. If I were making records I would only work with him. When I start developing the historical exhibitions I want to do, then I will definitely give Ron a prime spot.
