I'm glad people still seem to be interested...

What I know is that Jay Denham gets booked pretty regularly.... in
Berlin, naturally! (He appeared to be never without a few Tresor
bookings a year for ages, from what I could see.)

JD and the BN in general, always seemed to be largely on the fringes of
the scene, in Europe at least, mostly because - imo (1) JD never (I
think) got booked for Lost (therefore, never really took off in the UK -
although Donnell Knox played at Lost *once*) (2) they took the gamble of
sticking pretty rigidly to that 'purist' techno template. For a lot of
artists that gamble has worked (Hood, Surgeon a whole pile of European
people) for a few others, it's been a ticket to (greater) obscurity. I
like Jay Denham/Black Nation so I think it's a bit of a shame.

Subject: (313) black nation crew, where are you?

So where is the black nation crew these days? I know
Bennet is out West I believe? Fanon has relocated west
as well. Where is Jay Denham? Why don't he and Fanon
get bookings?

I remeber this one party they threw up in K'zoo at
the BN place and you had to climb through this weirdo
hole in the wall to get in and out of this pretty
large space. It was the oddest thing but there was
nothing but pure techno the entire night.

 Just wondering.

like bon-a-duchi.
