My favorite local shop (RIP) had bought up an entire warehouse that used to
belong to Watts Dist. and transported it all back here to sell. Ridiculous
selection of late 80s to late 90s dance records and CDs. I guess it was a
bunch of stuff that Watts had lost track of in their inventory and thought
it would be easier to just sell it all instead of counting it. Amongst the
lots the shop put out I found X-Mix CDs of Saunderson, Garnier, DJ Hell,
and Hawtin/Aquaviva all together in about 5 minutes. All brand new for
half the price of what they were new when they originally came out. Studio
!k7 had the best mixes going for a long time. The Aux 88 Electro Boogie
mix is pure gold.
