Geneva is only about an hour away from Grenoble by train. They sometimes have good parties there, too, but I haven't lived there in five years, so I don't know if the clubs I used to go to are still open. This place appears to have some decent stuff from time to time: http://vertigo-club.net. GoodLife Records is located there, so if you like the Hacker or Oxia at all, they might be playing in the area.
