Cornelius or Disco D should know this .....
Well, "should" and "do" are two different things!!
I know that Scott Grooves was with Detrechno, but whether he was going by
"Charles" or that was his brother/cousin/neighbor, I don't know.
As for Mark Flash, yes, he did Kevin Saunderson's "Bango" remix as well as a
mix on DJ Marquis' latest. In fact, he's got a new one on Upstart, his
first proper release, BUT---
He is NOT Marc Floyd or Agent Chaos of UR, though I can imagine where some
of the confusion may have come from. The "Bango" remix was done as a part
of UR(!), so anyone reading the label might be inclined to think, "I've
never heard of this guy before, he must be the same 'Marc/Mark' using a
different alias."
So far, each Upstart release has also been rumored by one person or another
to be Mad Mike! Wrong again. Though I can also see where some folks might
make that mistake as well.
Marc Floyd is working on some stuff thats, uh, reflective of UR's current
events.
Bottom line is, while it's not deliberate (sometimes), it CAN be confusing
trying to figure out who is who unless you're IN Detroit, and even, then,
odds are you'll have a hard time. I think most of us have had that moment
where we hear a track and, after finding out who it is, think, "My God!
That's who?!?!"
