However, I hear there were busts @ Buzz last Friday, and the Ultraworld party on Saturday and The Edge on Saturday. So... there may be no liquor @ Buzz (if that matters to you). I would recommend avoiding the place personally. The vibe is generally pretty thin. Good things (IMO) to do on Friday's in DC these days include DJ Oji and DJ Pope @ Vicki's Sanctuary, Mandrill @ Marx Cafe (one of my favorite places these days), Red (often featuring one or the other of the 95 North cats) and a few other smaller joints. All this is deep house at its deepest of course, but that's the lifeblood of DC. If you're looking for techno, you're likely out of luck unless you can wait around for The Blue Room on Sunday, which is a Mille Plateaux affiliated event. You also may want to stop down @ Metatrack Studios http://www.metatrackstudios.com early in the evening to check out the scene down there. A lot of us instructors are techno DJs, and often spin in the studios on Friday nights until 10ish. It's a good place to stop and get the lowdown for the evening. I can probably fill in any holes offline if you'd like. :) Tristan ---------- http://ampcast.com/phonopsia <- Music http://phonopsia.tripod.com <- Mixes, pics, thought, travelogue & info http://www.metatrackstudios.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] <- email <FrogboyMCI> <- AOL Instant Messenger --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
