A bit of respite from my beans and toast odyssey here. Vinyl Junkies was my
Phaeacia, and this was the most notable treasure I left with:

Joakim "Cotton Gun EP" (FR Versatile) - Kirk DeGiorgio remix on the flip is
a techno outing a bit like the recent Nairobi, i.e. gorgeous bass probably
from his envy inducing modular set up, but it's the original that really
astounds: quite organic drum programming a la Metro Area and quite simply
amazing melodic/harmonic patterns. It's got it all, fans of Environ, classic
Black Dog, soulful DX basslines - you'll love every moment. About as 313 as
France has got, for me. I've been listening to it all the time and can't
imagine ever getting bored. If this isn't in my top 2 records by the end of
year, I'll feel blessed. Also got an excellent Pepe Bradock remix of Iz &
Diz, which I recommend for fans of his stuff.

Anyway, bring it on Poseidon! Though preferably not when I'm in the
Eurotunnel tomorrow, and spare the nice people in Vinyl Junkies. Thanks.
