Isn't that the same recording he opened his set at DEMF 2000 with? Listen
to it at Groovetech's archive sets - it's just an accapela, right before he
goes into James Brown's "The Big Payback". I think he let it go on a bit
long there too but hell, it's his style not mine and it's a fantastic set
anyway so who cares how long he plays that track for. It's cool and speaks
loudly about the music.

Hi,
Derrick May just played (last weekend) in my home town here in Australia.
He played a great set to a small crowd (250) for over 3 hours. I believe
he
was contracted for 3 but was really enjoying himself.
Anyway, he played a particular track that I am desperate to find out
details
of. It had a deep male vocal component and the lyrics sort of went "grace
... tenderness ... soul ..." etc. There was a pause between each uttered
word.
I hope some of you may recognise this track from my description and would
be
so grateful if you could let me know the artist/producer and title.
