Good call, can't forget Chi Town's roots in the minimal techno movement.

A lot of what Dan Bell and those guys did was add to the foundation that 
artists like, Mike Hitman Wilson, Steve Poindexter, etc built.  Long live the 
Casio RZ1 :)

Back to Gherkin for a sec, I'm looking for a minimal beat record that Larry 
Heard did for that label way back when.  I don't know what's it called, but as 
far as I know it's the only record of that nature that he did for Gherkin.  
Anyone know where I can find it or even what it's called?
