Many taxi drivers don't seem to know exactly where Hubert Street is (it's relatively small), so I would tell them between Greenwich & Hudson, a few blocks south of Canal. They shouldn't have any trouble from there.
And just in case: I noticed you referred to it as Body & Soul night, but it's more like Body & Soul evening/afternoon. Just an important point so your friend doesn't show up too late. I generally hit the place around 7:
