Thanks, Greg. My view is that Richie is coming from the right
place on this. And as he said at the end carbon offsets aren't
the place to stop, it's a place to step forward from.

In my non-music life I'm the chair of the Sierra Club global
warming & energy committee. We actually looked recently
at a bunch of the carbon offset outfits. None of them are
perfect; Atmosfair is one of the better ones. As they say on
that side of the Atlantic, it is still early days for all of this.

You can decide it's cynical and hate on Richie or anyone
else, but here's the real point: if you think global warming is
a problem, you have to do your research, figure out what
really matters about all this to you and "drop the needle on the
record." There's no better time to start than now and everyone
can do something that means something.

At moments like this here's what I always come back to:

Brothers and sisters, the time has come
for each and every one of you to decide
whether you are gonna be the problem,
or whether you are gonna be the solution.
You must choose, brothers, you must choose.
It takes 5 seconds, 5 seconds of decision.
Five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet.
It takes 5 seconds to realize that it's time to move.
It's time to get down with it.
Brothers, it's time to testify and I want to know,
    Are you ready to testify?

Apparently none of them were morning-after pills.
