Kids with no money are making the music these days. Andy Stott for
example uses nothing but reason and it is possible to make good music
with it but people choose to just copy these days.
I heard the new burial track last week (sonicsunset dave siska's
part), and
man, that track was new music to me...scary as hell, really scary
if you
know what I mean. That's new, although it's also totally about
memories.
Burial played a clever marketing game and it's straight out of the
techno 101 book of marketing, it's not new tho - go dig out Scorn/
Coil from 14 years ago.
