i actually think that the lyrics to a song are the easiest thing to make be completely opposite (or in some other way not related) to the mood of the song. i go by the feeling of the tunes way moreso than the actual lyrics. > What I'm saying is I dislike hearing a DJ play a break-up or heartache tune > and then following it up by "let's all party". listen to the melodies in something like "Disco Nights" by GQ. the lyrics are pretty daft, really, but the mood is so much deeper than that. there are times when i think that those kinds of lyrics can be paired up next to each other with songs whose instrumentations go together and it makes them even more potent. tom
