Think its been pretty much covered by the others but if your friend wants to check online whats going on there are a couple of local forums where nights are posted (as said the boys in RubADub will be able to give further advise, directions etc if required) http://www.miscreat.com/forums/index.php http://www.slamevents.com/speak/index.html Its a bit early to know what will be on at the end of March (promoters are still trying to get people interested in their February events) but as a general rule Slam/Soma do a big night on the last friday of the month where you are likely to see the big touring names of the moment, pay top doller to get in and have a bad bad crowd (I havnt been to any of their nigghts for many years so the crowd may have changed but I doubt it). Monox do a techno night on the 3rd Saturday of the month where you are more likely to get interesting guests playing at and a far more friendly crowd.
