i like his productions as well. only know a few tracks, tho. i still need to catch up his album.

but i'm a big fan of the "les gans" 12" on musique risquée. the original is very good and the audio werner remix is even better. he gave it a slo-mo dubtechno twist, combined with those horns: stunning! opium on wax. there's an excerpt on www.myspace.com/audiowerner

philip sherburne did a remix as well (http://www.myspace.com/philipsherburneproductions), unreleased as far as i know. and before anyone starts hatin': listen to it, it's not just another mnml track. ;)

If you get beatport e-mails, they just sent one out about DEMF charts,
which are musical charts by DJs/Producers who will be appearing at the
festival.

After poking around, one of the best producers I hadn't neard of was
Guillaume Cout Dumont. I like the tracks on his myspace page, and the
sound samples at Beatport. He started out as a percussionist and
played in jazz bands before getting into techno, which to my way of
thinking is a big plus -- someone who learned to play music before
getting into dance music, instead of first working on how best to trim
their facial hair, and what sort of shoes to wear.

His tracks sound pretty straightforwardly dance-y but with rocking
hand percussion and cool sound design...

Anyway, anyone else have any recommends for his records? I'm looking
forward to what he does at the festival.
